Easy Christmas Crafts For Kids The Whole Family Will Enjoy

Making Christmas crafts for kids together helps you bond with your children and establishes family traditions.

Some easy projects are:

  • Pretzel Ornament

Apply glue to hard, twisted pretzels. Sprinkle on glitter (any color). Loop a ribbon through the pretzel. Tie a knot at the top and hang from your tree.

  • Paper Chain Garland

Cut out equal length paper strips. Glue ends of first strip together making a ring. Slide a strip through the ring and glue ends. Repeat until you have a chain of desired length.

Tip: You can make a chain out of self-sticking ribbon. No need to glue, just dampen end of ribbon and stick together.

  • String Popcorn

Pop air-pop popcorn. When cool thread needle and knot the thread. Put the threaded needle through the popcorn. When you run out of thread tie it off and thread the needle again and knot. Push the needle through the last piece where you left off. Repeat until you have desired length garland.

Caution: Adult supervision is definitely required.

  • Styrofoam Ornament:

Buy Styrofoam balls at the craft store (any size you want). Paint with acrylic paint. Sprinkle glitter on wet paint. Glue ribbon on top to hang on the tree.

Tip: You could use glue instead of paint.

  • Sparkly Pinecones

Apply glue or paint to pinecones and sprinkle with glitter.

A fun way to make Christmas crafts for kids is by setting out various materials and supplies like:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Little eyes (from the craft store)
  • Glitter glue
  • Glitter
  • Paint
