Great Christmas Crafts Ideas
Nothing says warm and cozy like handmade Christmas crafts.
You can purchase crafts at craft shows, stores or you can make them yourself.
There are many books, websites and magazines to help you along.
Christmas crafts range from country to elegant.
They can be as simple as rolling pine cones in glitter to making fancy ornaments for the tree.
Here are a few simple crafts to get you started:
Glue jewels (from the craft store) to ornaments. When the glue is dry, put gold glitter glue around the jewel.
Take the top off a clear ornament. Put two different colors of paint inside (approx. 1 tsp.each). Turn the ornament until paint swirls to give a marbleized look. Replace top.
- Gingerbread Man Cookie Garland
Prepare cookie dough for baking. Punch a hole in each hand with a straw. Cookies will bake with a hole in the hand. When cooled, decorate as desired. Thread a thin ribbon through hands connecting all the gingerbread men. Knot the ribbon and trim ends on an angle. You can also use other Christmas cookie(i.e. snowmen, Santa, etc.).
Cut out a circle from cardboard. Then cut out the middle. Paint the circle red. Staple a loop of ribbon to the circle (for hanging). Glue on candy canes.
Christmas crafts can also include:
- Paper or fabric snowflakes
- Santa (i.e. wood carving, fabric, ceramic)
Don’t forget crafts for kids.
